“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” -Virginia Woolf
They call me the Dip Diva. Why? About 10 years ago I dove into the world of spices and homemade dips, working with the Canadian spice company Epicure. It was the perfect mix, both socially and culinary, and my initial curiosity turned into a love of entertaining and connecting through food (and dips!). Not only did this earn me the Dip Diva nickname, but I also excelled to the top 2% of Epicure consultants, earning free trips and culinary experiences. Needless to say, my cravings for culinary adventure began to blossom and thrive. Throughout this blog you’ll find some of my favourite wholesome recipes, delicious globally-inspired food, and travel ideas to spark your culinary curiosities – trust me, you’ll be hooked!
Real Food
Wholesome, real food runs through my veins and fuels my spirit. Having been raised as a home-grown farm kid truly is the best gift; you are enriched with commitment, a strong work ethic and unbounded optimism. Running a community farm share program takes those lessons and connects people to the life cycle of their food and what can happen if mother nature doesn’t cooperate with farmers!
“YOU DON’T HAVE TO COOK FANCY OR COMPLICATED MASTERPIECES – JUST GOOD FOOD FROM FRESH INGREDIENTS.”
― JULIA CHILD
Homestyle
When it comes to the kitchen, I am a self taught cook using simple and often local ingredients that are easy to use. Home cooking offers forgiveness and promotes experimentation – you don’t have to be perfect, and mistakes lead to triumph the next time.
You know while I’m cooking, I’m chatting up a storm – my gift for gab allows me to share stories from around the globe, and I’d love to share yours! For sponsorship or collaborative inquiries, please get in touch at dip.diva@yahoo.ca
