First day in Vancouver and we hit the streets hungry! Lucky for us we had a great driver from the Airport to the hotel that gave us the lay of the land and pointed out all the good food trucks! My lunch (on the left) was from #freshlocalwild at the corner of Burrard and Hastings. I perused the detailed, seafood centric menu and decided on the Signature BC Seafood Chowder Poutine, smoked bacon, mussels, clams, and local fish done is a creamy chowder, served over a pile of fresh cut fries. Yup! it tasted as good as it sounds, a cool little side note both the guys in the truck came from Ontario and set up shop with this truck! Nicely Done gentlemen!Check out the recipe
On the right we have a custom paleo salad from #culvercitysalads as well as the Celery Broccoli soup, (vegan and paleo friendly) to drink the lovely ladies in the truck made us fab Komboucha tea.Kristi my lunch date loved the fact that while in Vancouver she could get a healthier meal from a food truck then she can in any restaurant in Ontario. Her review “Never have I seen something like it and the broccoli celery soup was to die for.“
There you have it, just 2 great food trucks in Vancouver that RULE!
