As I was scrolling through Instagram today I came across a photo of a fellow blogger that I follow, Shawna from Simple On Purpose, in a cute spring outfit with the  #spring30for30. I was intrigued! It is a challenge that has you pick 30 items from your own closet and wear them in different combinations for 30 days. You can accessorize, change up the foot wear and hair styles to give you different looks but your 30 items should remain the same.

Day 1 and 2

In the two outfits above you will see I have stuck with leggings and changed the shirt and jacket combo. This is a staple combo for me, I like the way a jacket adds polish to an outfit, bumping it up a notch from casual. I am fond of the army green jacket for spring because it is light weight so I don’t get too warm but structured to give that fitted look. Boots for both looks because for some strange reason we still have snow in April in Ontario. Trust me I will be in sandals the first chance I get!

Over the past few years I have been refining my style and buying clothes that I really love, paying attention to fit and quality. I feel like I now have some pretty great pieces that have stood the test of time, fit me well and are classic enough to transition from season to season. I am excited to test my wardrobe and I am pretty confident I can make the pieces work , anything I don’t still love after the challenge will be headed to a thrift store.

Let The Challenge Begin
